About the Project
The Scary Spuds Project is a collaborative project that encourages students to use their imaginations while developing their reading, writing, and technology skills. The premise of the project is for students to create a Scary Spud and then write a description of the Spud so that their partner classes can recreate it, coming as close to the original as possible. Third grade students from 2 schools in Mobile County have been paired up. Each class will be split into groups, and each group will be assigned a number. After creating their Spuds and writing their descriptions, the information will be posted to this website so that the partner class may access it. After the Scary Spuds are recreated, they will be uploaded to this website for all to see. The students may then compare them to determine how close they came to the original Scary Spud.
